Wig Care

How should I maintain my curly hair?

  1. Choose a shampoo & condition that suits your hair type. For curly or coarse hair, ideally use a frizz minimizing and softening shampoo. For colored or treated hair, ideally use a shampoo that’s fortified with extracts or amino acids.
  2. Instructions to deep condition curly hair: Deep condition at least once a week with cold water. Apply moderate conditioner to the hair, starting about an inch down from the roots all the way to the tips of your hair. Wait about 15 minutes before rinsing, then use a wide tooth comb working from the tips to the roots.
  3. How to blow dry your curly hair: After washing, towel dry your hair slightly – just enough to stop it dripping. Don’t rub your hair with the towel. Start blow drying at the top/roots, about six inches away from your scalp with the blow dryer on a low temperature. Work your way down and leave your hair a little damp. Tips: if you want some lift and volume, use your hands to comb your roots up and blow dry).
  4. Styling curly hair: Shape the hair by scrunching it and twirling pieces around your finger. Avoid using brushes and narrow tooth combs and avoid touching your hair as much as possible. This can separate your curls and lead to unwanted frizz. Don’t straighten curly hair because it may cause hair problems like shedding and tangle. We also don’t suggest you dye curly hair because the curl won’t keep after coloring. If you need to color it, we recommend using a professional stylist.

Do I need to wash my hair before wearing it?

Our hair is very clean and neat, so you don't have to wash your hair before first use. For curly hair, we don't recommend you wash it because it may ruin the curly pattern.

Can I straighten my curly hair?

We don't recommend you straighten curly hair because it may cause hair problems like shedding and tangles. It is best that it remains the same curly look.

Can I dye my curly hair?

For virgin hair, yes you can dye it, but curly hair is not easy to operate by yourself, so please let a professional stylist help you and don't do it yourself. For Malaysian and Indian hair, we don't recommend you dye it.

How to care?

Taking care of your lace wig is important to keep it looking natural and lasting longer. Wash your wig only as needed or about every one to two weeks.

  1. Before you wash your lace wig, dampen the hair by spraying leave-in conditioner wig detangler onto the hair. This softens the hair and prevents unnecessary tension and pulling on the hair when combing.
  2. Brush your lace wig with a wig brush for straight hair or wide tooth comb for curly hair to remove tangles. Start from the bottom and gently work your way up, this will ensure minimal shedding. Note: Combing your hair starting at the top may cause the hair to shed, break or tangle due to excess pulling.
  3. Saturate the wig with lukewarm water. Pour a little shampoo and warm water into a spray bottle. Spray the shampoo onto the hair. Use your fingers or wide tooth comb to work the shampoo through the hair. Remember to start at the ends of the hair. Note: Do not apply the shampoo directly onto the hair as it may cause tangling. It is recommended to use a sulfate-free shampoo which retains hair moisture and helps prevent the hair from becoming dry.
  4. Once you have rinsed out the shampoo. Apply condition and leave it in for 30 minutes and then rinse. Squeeze water out of the hair. Put the wig on a soft towel. Fold the towel over the hair and blot or pat it to remove excess water. When the wig is half dry, place it on a Styrofoam head. Use T pins to hold it in place. Put a small amount of Olive Oil on the hair to keep the hair soft. Then blow dry the hair until completely dry.
  5. Use Knot Sealer to help prevent unnecessary hair shedding. Once the hair is completely dry, turn the wig inside out and spray Knot Sealer throughout the cap. Wait approximately 10 minutes for it to dry and spry another coat of Knot Sealer. Once dry, put the wig on your head and style as usual.
